Make sure that you can view hidden and system files (all files for that matter). Enter your ROM2 folder and delete those two files (the wininet.dll and the shlwapi.dll files) and then run the game again; it should work fine now.
The other thing that may have to be done, if you have Win95A, is to download and install WinSock 2 from this site.
Or, if you don't have Internet access, you can manually copy those two files to your Windows\System directory, but this will have to be done in DOS mode (at least the Shlwapi.dll file).
We do not have any information about using the map editor. The best place to go with editor questions is the Rage of Mages 2 Forums. You can post your editor questions there and someone who knows about the editor will be able to help you with your questions.
Try checking the date in your machine (you can double click on the Clock on your toolbar to bring it up). Make sure that the date is set to the current year and that the date is correct. Believe it or not, that could be the problem!
We have heard this method works, but have yet to actually try it. Use this at your own risk, since NT is not a preferred OS to run ROM2 on:
1. Install ROM2 on Win95/98 first (on the same machine) ;)
2. Copy registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rage of Mages 2\... to NT registry.
3. Check if "INSTALLDIR" registry key is pointing to path where ROM2 files are located.
That should be it!
To enable the codes, on each map, press the "ENTER" key, type "##Coward" and then press "ENTER" again. Be sure to use a capital "C" in chicken with all other letters lower case. Every cheat code starts with the "ENTER" key and finishes with the "ENTER" key and all of them are case sensitive.
